Final List Of Chelsea Players Called Up For Euro 2020 By Their National Team

Following the close of domestic leagues in Europe last weekend, next on the radar is the Euro Championship. And as a result, players have been called up by their respective national sides, including a host of our Chelsea players.

Interestingly, Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta has been named in Spain’s squad for Euro 2020, with his consistent and solid performances for Chelsea being recognized, particularly for guiding the English side to a Champions League glory this season.

The full-back’s call-up is his first by Spain since late 2018. He notably shone against Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, the top two Spanish teams in La Liga this season, and was one of 24 players picked by Luis Enrique.

Cesar Azpilicueta was in Spain’s squad for the 2014 and 2018 World Cups, as well as Euro 2016 in France. He will have a chance to add to his 25 caps for Spain.

Next, are our boys from the English side, who have just named in England’s 26-man squad for Euro 2020 championship on June 1. They are; Reece James, Mason Mount, and Ben Chilwell, all three being recognized for their efforts for Chelsea this season.

On the other hand, Toni Rudiger, Timo Werner, and Kai Havertz have all been selected in Joachim Low’s final squad for Euro 2020. While Jorginho and Emerson were also named in Italy’s Euro squad.

The above nine stars follow call-ups for N’Golo Kante, Olivier Giroud, and Kurt Zouma [France], Mateo Kovacic [Croatia], Billy Gilmour [Scotland], and Michy Batshuayi [Belgium].
