Following the completion of the Euro 2020 Quarterfinals, there are now only 4 teams left in the competition. The four teams left include Italy, Denmark, Spain, and England.
Meanwhile, Chelsea now have more club players remaining than any other team in the competition, with 7 representatives in the semifinal stage.
England – Mason Mount, Ben Chilwell, Reece James
Denmark – Andreas Christensen
Italy – Jorginho, Emerson Palmieri
Spain – Cesar Azpilicueta.
This indicates that Chelsea are the only club to have at least one player in all the 4 remaining semi-finalists.
Hence, it means that at least one of these players is bound to win the Euro 2020, and they will do so just a few weeks after lifting the Champions League trophy!
Moreover, the feat of winning the Euro and the Champions League in the same year has been achieved by only 9 players in the past.
Additionally, when Chelsea last won the Champions League in 2012, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata went on to win the Euros. This time around, we are eager to see who does the same!
