If you thought Jurgen Klopp’s response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s sensational Manchester United return was salty, we wonder what you’ll think of Liverpool defender Andy Robertson’s words.
When asked about the 36-year-old’s big transfer, Robertson said in a press conference: “Their Prince or King has returned I suppose, I am not too bothered until we face them.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool boss when asked about the Cristiano Ronaldo saga that ended with a return to Old Trafford had said: “I watched it [Ronaldo story] like a football supporter, but I have no knowledge about it.
“It’s not about me to judge that, but if other clubs can do it, it’s not a business for the future, [the next] three to four years, it’s about now and immediately.
“That’s how some clubs are working and that’s fine, but there must be different ways, clubs who look two or three years later and have success.”
The salty Liverpool boss went on to add: “It’s not always with the best squad in the world, it’s about developing as a squad and a club and that’s what we have done.
“We have resources and have been building for a while. I have no time to look at other clubs. I see the news, but I have no time to think about what they can do.”
But don’t worry Andy – you might not be too bothered now but you will be when Ronny silences Anfield with a hat-trick.
It must have also not been pleasant for Andy to read Luke Shaw’s recent stats in the Premier League, eh? What do you think?
