Real Madrid Turn Down Man United’s Offer For Raphael Varane, Reveal New Asking Price
Man United’s offer for Raphael Varane has been rebuffed by Real Madrid as reported by Spanish news outlet Diario AS. An opening offer worth £40million has been submitted by the Red Devils for the Frenchman but Los Blancos turn it down.
Real Madrid are demanding a £60million fee for the center-back, whose contract with the Spanish giants expires next summer. And since the Whites are in a cash crunch, selling a few players like Varane seems like a good option.
Meanwhile, AS understands that United’s boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has personally asked the club to sign the French defender, as he aims to find Harry Maguire’s ideal partner.
