Manchester United see Luke Shaw as their first-choice left-back for next season, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The expected arrival of Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord will not have an impact on Shaw’s place in the the Red Devils’ first team at Old Trafford.
The 22-year-old left-back’s transfer to Man United from the Eredivisie is subject to agreeing to personal terms with the player and his agent after the two clubs have agreed to a €17 million fee.
However, it remains to be seen what now happens to Alex Telles. The Brazilian was Shaw’s understudy last season and could find himself to be a third-choice left-back.
According to Fabrizio Romano, once Tyrell Malacia agrees to personal terms he will be due for medicals ahead of his much-anticipated move to Old Trafford.
