Sporting director John Murtough is leading Manchester United’s search for an interim manager, according to the Telegraph.
The Red Devils are reportedly speaking to five potential candidates although only three have been named in the latest report.
Ernesto Valverde, Lucien Favre, and Rudi Garcia have been approached by Man United to take over until the end of the 2021-22 season.
Meanwhile, Valverde was sacked by Barcelona in 2020, Favre was dismissed by Borussia Dortmund in the same year and Garcia left Lyon in the summer of 2021.
Manchester United parted ways with former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sunday following an embarrassing defeat to Watford in the Premier League. Currently, former assistant manager Michael Carrick is at the dugouts.
