List Of All The Manchester United Players Called Up For Euro 2020 By Their National Team
On June 1, each of the 24 teams to participate in Euro 2020 have confirmed their squads for this summer’s tournament that starts next Friday, June 11.
Thus, we already know which Manchester United players that will be part of the competition with their national side. There are 12 of them, even though their chances of actually playing for their countries vary.
Below is a rundown of how Manchester United is being represented by their players across different nations in the Euro 2020 championship.
Group A
Wales: Daniel James, Dylan Levitt
The Welsh duo will be the first Manchester United players to participate in this summer’s Euro championship, with their opener against Switzerland scheduled for June 12. The opening game will be followed by games against Turkey and Italy.
Thus, Daniel James is expected to be a regular starter for his team, while 20-year-old Levitt will hope to get some minutes at his first major international tournament.
Group C
Netherlands: Donny van de Beek
Van de Beek’s situation at United in the just concluded season obviously hurts the 24-year-old’s chances of starting for the national team, but he still remains an important part of Frank De Boer’s squad.
The Netherlands are in the group with Austria, North Macedonia, and Ukraine, which places them as neutral favorites to top the quartet.
Group D
Scotland: Scott McTominay
England: Dean Henderson, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford
This all-British clash is scheduled for June 18 but while McTominay is almost certain to start, Gareth Southgate has so many options in his squad that one can easily imagine a line-up without a single Manchester United player.
Meanwhile, Harry Maguire’s fitness is the biggest worry for the Three Lions right now, while Henderson, Shaw, and Rashford all have plenty of competition for the starting XI.
The tricky group is completed by Croatia and Czech Republic.

Group E
Sweden: Victor Lindelof
Spain: David De Gea
The Red Devils duo is likely to face off on Matchday 1 on Monday, June 14. Both are expected to start, although De Gea faces questions over his form on the national side.
After that opening match for the group, the two teams will face Poland and Slovakia, which presents both of them decent chances to progress to the next round.
Group F
France: Paul Pogba
Portugal: Bruno Fernandes
Group F is dubbed ‘the Group of Death’, which also includes Germany and plucky minnows Hungary. However, France and Portugal will be of bigger interest to the Manchester United fans.
Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes are expected to take on each other in the last game of the group stage, and a lot could be at stake for both of them. Unless they both win all other games before then.
