Mason Mount Made Fernandinho Look Like A Complete Fool In Moment Of Revenge

Mason Mount got revenge on Fernandinho in the second half after the City captain gave him series of rough tackle earlier in the game. The Blues are through to the FA Cup final after defeating Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Chelsea won the FA Cup semifinal clash against City 1-0 through Hakim Ziyech’s second-half goal. The London club caught their Manchester counterpart on the break and Timo Werner’s pass across goal was swept into an empty net by the Moroccan star.

Moreover, one of the most fascinating encounters in the game was between Mason Mount and Fernandinho.

The City skipper was tasked with eliminating the threat of Chelsea’s star man and he gave him some rough treatment throughout the game.

The Brazilian, meanwhile, was lucky not to be penalized when he floored the Englishman in the 17th minute and then stepped on his face.

Ten minutes later, Fernandinho would then launch into a dangerous challenge on Mount but the youngster just about skipped past.

However, Mason Mount was not to be intimidated and he got revenge in the second half with a lovely piece of skill.

During the second period, Fernandinho tried to man-handle the 22-year-old Chelsea man on the left-hand side. But he was made to look silly when the Chelsea star put the ball through his legs, evaded his grasp, and then drove towards the City goal.

Absolutely a sweet one from mount. Afterall, Fernandinho had tried to rough him up all evening but the youngster managed to get his revenge.

Mason Mount, however, couldn’t finish the full 90 minutes, as he was subbed off and was replaced by Christian Pulisic with 20 minutes remaining.

Chelsea will now contest the final against Leicester City or Southampton, who meet in the second semi-final on Sunday evening.
