Inter Milan have no intention to bring Romelu Lukaku back amid rumors that he wants to return to Italy, according to multiple sources.
Earlier, La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that the Chelsea striker was unhappy with how his spell at Stamford Bridge has been developing and wanted to go back to the club where he enjoyed two productive spells.
While a reliable British source has already claimed it’s not true, new reports from Italy suggest Inter are not keen on that idea either.
As per La Gazzetta dello Sport (again) and FCInter1908, the Serie A champions want to cut costs. Paying a massive fee for Lukaku and taking on his salary would not fit in those plans.
That means that even if Chelsea wanted to offload Lukaku in the summer – which is not a given either – it would be tough for them to pull off with the 28-year-old.
