Mason Mount Tipped To Take Over Chelsea Captaincy Soon

Mason Mount may just have been 22 years of age but has been tipped to take over the Chelsea captaincy anytime soon. Chelsea community believes the youth academy graduate is destined to become a future skipper after his most recent performance in the Champions League success.

The young Englishman played an important role to help Chelsea win the Champions League, making that all-important assist for Kai Havertz’s winning goal over Manchester City.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old midfielder created more goal-scoring chances than the entire City side on the day – finishing a brilliant season with the Blues on a high note.

Mason Mount’s performance and his overall work in the recently concluded campaign attracted a lot of praise from Chelsea fans from all over; even to the extent of many tipping him to take over the Chelsea captaincy soonest.

Here are their reactions;

Vicar13: “The future of this club is bright. Frank reincarnated, what a moment for him.”

MaCheBe: “Future Ballon dโ€™Or winner Mason Mount.”

TheDude_Lebowski: “I love him so much it’s actually mad! I’ve never felt this way for a player after just 2 seasons.”

OneMoSalah: “Mason Mount, 9 goals 7 assists for the season. For being aged 22, his second season in the PL, let’s not beat around the bush if you like him or don’t, is a good season either way. He also scored in a CL quarter-final, a CL semi-final, and assisted the winning goal in the CL final. Maybe some of the critics will shut up now ??? What else do people want from him.”

Jype: “Mason Mount, European Champion. Has a nice ring to it.”

Stats: “Provided match-winning assist for the match-winning goal. But he still will have these nonsense critics.”
