According to Goal, Jose Mourinho is keen on bringing forgotten Chelsea player Charly Musonda to AS Roma as a free agent this summer.
Musonda who is already 25 has already announced he would be leaving Chelsea at the end of the season.
Hellas Verona are also interested in the Belgian, but Mourinho’s relationship with the player could give Roma an advantage.
Musonda was regarded as one of the brightest talents at the Chelsea Academy. He signed his first professional deal during Mourinho’s time in charge but only made his debut for the Blues in the 2016-17 season.
A couple of disappointing loan spells were followed by a terrible knee ligament injury that ruled him out of action for two years. He has not played a single game at the senior level since August 2019.
