Former United Boss Jose Mourinho Tells AS Roma To Sign Manchester United Star, ASAP
AS Roma manager, Jose Mourinho, has demanded that the club sign Manchester United defender, Diogo Dalot, once the January transfer window opens.
Roma are in the seventh position in the Serie A table 13 points behind leaders AC Milan, with Mourinho keen on strengthening his squad with fresh faces in the new year.
Italian newspaper, Gazzetta dello, reports that Mourinho, who is a former United boss, has told Roma’s technical director Tiago Pinto he wants to sign Dalot.
Mourinho is said to be a long-time admirer of the Portuguese right-back having signed him from Porto back in 2018 when at the Old Trafford helm.

Dalot has played only 26 times in the league since joining United with Aaron Wan-Bissaka the preferred choice under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Roma will face a more difficult task in getting the player, who was sent out on loan to AC Milan last season amid lack of playing time.
Dalot, 22, started his first league game at Old Trafford for two years in Red Devils’ midweek win over Arsenal.
He was also called upon to start in Ralf Rangnick’s first game in charge on Sunday as he helped keep a clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
The Portuguese is under contract with Manchester United until the summer of 2023.
