Callum Hudson-Odoi was on the pitch alongside Romelu Lukaku as Chelsea comfortably beat Aston Villa 1-3.
After the game, Hudson-Odoi spoke of the striker to Chelseafc.com: “Rom is an amazing player. His strengths are very good for us up front. He knows how to hold the ball up so we can play around him really well.
“When we get the balls into the box, he’s always there to try and get a header or set it back for the player behind him.
“He’s a massive player for us and we have to keep going, keep feeding him the ball in and around the box and hopefully he can find the back of the net.”
Hudson-Odoi delivered the cross for Lukaku’s goal. Prior to this goal and during his injury, there were a few fans and pundits who claimed Chelsea played better without Lukaku on the field – Tuchel shut down those claims earlier.
Hudson-Odoi’s comments and the team’s performance last night showed that having a world-class striker is simply better for the team. Hopefully, he can now continue to score goals and help the team to win.
