Rio Ferdinand Names One Player That Will Struggle Under Rangnick At Man United

Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has said Aaron Wan-Bissaka will struggle under new interim manager, Ralf Rangnick.

Wan-Bissaka was given his first start under Rangnick as they drew 1-1 with Young Boys in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Rangnick opted for Diogo Dalot in his first game against Crystal Palace.

Ferdinand told BT Sport: “I just feel with Wan-Bissaka he needs to work on his game with the ball. Fullbacks today are controllers of the game. No8s, midfielders were always the conductors.”

“Nowadays, the players who get the most touches are the full-backs. So you have to be good at receiving the ball and playing it over various distances, adding different layers to your game.

“In Wan-Bissaka if you are talking about the top right-backs in the country, that’s where he falls short.

“What is there for him, he can see it. You know what you need to work on. It is clear for all to see. That is what the manager needs and that’s what the managers wants.”
