Pep Guardiola Crying At The Press After His First Ever Champions League Final Defeat

Pep Guardiola has not won the Champions League trophy since he left Barcelona. Following a recent defeat to Chelsea in the competition’s final, the Spanish boss has admitted his team was wasteful with their chances.

“It has been an exceptional season for us. It was a tight game. We had chances,” Pep Guardiola told BT Sport after the game.

“We were brilliant in the second half, we were brave and we could not convert the chances as they were so strong. The players were exceptional. We come back maybe one day again!”

Guardiola decided against starting with a defensive midfielder in either Fernandinho or Rodri and has been criticized for his decision.
