Speaking to Caught Offside, former Manchester United midfielder Luke Chadwick said: “It will be interesting to see how Ralf Rangnick brings the team forward in the next few months.
“It’s an opportunity, particularly for the lads who haven’t been playing. When a new manager comes in it is a clean slate for everyone, so everyone is starting from the beginning, as it were.
“Donny Van de Beek has had a nightmare move since he came to Manchester United, he’s never really had a run in the team but potentially this is an opportunity for him, and others who haven’t been playing.
“Jadon Sancho, who’s got two goals in his last three games now, is obviously another who’s had a bit of a stop-start time at Man United so far, you look at him and think this could be an opportunity.”
Rangnick has opted against making any changes in his first official game in charge at the club, selecting Michaels Carrick’s XIs against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
However, as the fixtures begin to pile up for Man United in December, the German specialist is highly likely to start rotating the team and giving chances to fringe players.
