Man United Manager Names 2 Other Premier League Clubs Who Should Receive Sanctions Like Chelsea
Asked about the stiff UK Government sanctions being handed out to Chelsea via its owner Abramovich, Manchester United manager Ralf Rangick said: “Not only at Chelsea, [but] also at Arsenal and Everton there were ownership shares by Russian oligarchs.
“Chelsea was not the only club,” Rangnick added.
Rangnick is not far from the truth. Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov invested heavily in Everton as his company USM previously had the naming rights of the club’s training ground.

This same Usmanov once held 29% shares of Arsenal before selling them in 2018.
While Rangnick has a point, it’s highly unlikely that the UK Government will sanction the two clubs, as they’re no longer linked to the Oligarch.
