Manchester United manager, Ralf Rangnick has revealed the position he would play Paul Pogba in his team.
Rangnick said he understands Pogba is more fitted as a central midfielder, as either a No. 8 or 10, but added that the way Manchester United are currently playing, he would rather field the Frenchman in the 8 position.
Pogba has returned to the club after months of injury layoff that has seen the World Cup winner miss games in the Champions League, Premier League, and other competitions.
But the 28-year-old was available for United’s FA Cup clash against Middlesbrough and Rangnick even started the France international for the defeat.
Speaking to the press ahead of United’s Friday’s FA Cup clash with Middlesbrough, Rangnick said, “I’m happy to have him back in the squad, as I said, he might be playing from the start tomorrow.
“I see his best possible position for me as one of the central midfield positions as either an 8 or 10, but the way we’re currently playing, I’d rather see him in the 8 position, but we’ll have to see, it’s up to him now.”
