In his post-match press conference, Ralf Rangnick was asked about Bruno Fernandes’ availability for the Atletico Madrid clash on Tuesday.
The Manchester United boss replied: “Bruno is ill, unfortunately. He couldn’t train yesterday and was therefore not available for the game [against Tottenham].
“Hopefully, he will be back for Tuesday.”
Bruno has been vital for the Red Devils this term, appearing 36 times across competitions and registering nine goals and 14 assists.
His presence will be missed against Atletico if he’s not ready but a midfield trio of Paul Pogba, Fred and Nemanja Matic showed signs of promise in the 3-2 win over Tottenham.
