Ralf Rangnick is starting to doubt Cristiano Ronaldo’s ability to spearhead Man United’s attack line next season, claims Manchester Evening News.
The German manager‘s patience is reportedly growing thin with the 37-year-old after watching him score 1 goal in his last 10 appearances.
Rangnick has not entertained the possibility of dropping Ronaldo only because of United’s lack of striker options.
Edinson Cavani has been out with a groin injury for the last few weeks and Marcus Rashford is experiencing a disappointing season.
Ralf has already stated in the past that ‘it’s obvious’ that United needs to sign a younger, more energetic striker in the summer transfer window.
He’s likely to stick with Ronaldo this season because of the dearth of options but isn’t pleased with his work in 2022 under him.
