Rating Chelsea Players In Tottenham Draw: Kante 9, Bakayoko 4, Ziyech 8 & Others

Chelsea’s 100 percent pre-season came to an end following a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night. Here is how our players performed;

Kante – 9

Was just outstanding before the break. Destroyed Spurs’ midfield and made a crucial interception for the first goal. Hopefully, his substitution at the break was only to give him some rest.

Ziyech – 8

His second strike this evening was Ziyech’s fifth goal of the pre-season. Evidently fired up and fully intent on proving the naysayers wrong.

Werner – 7.5

Played an underrated role in the first goal, distracting the defenders from Ziyech. Scored a goal of his own, but the linesman wrongly judged him to be offside.

Chalobah – 7.5

Impresses in every pre-season game. Performed on the right of the back three this time and largely thwarted Son Heung-min, including a monstrous tackle early in the second half.

Bakayoko – 4

Really struggled after coming on in the second half. Lost possession several times in the middle of the pitch. Did not look up to speed in his first pre-season outing.

Sarr – 5

His misplaced pass started Spurs’ attack that ended in Bergwijn’s equalizer. Was close to losing the ball several times. Does not inspire confidence at the back.

Other Players Ratings: Mendy – 6, Zouma – 7, Rudiger – 7, Hudson-Odoi – 7, Kovacic – 7, Alonso – 7, Havertz – 6.5, Pulisic – 6, Ampadu – 6.5, Anjorin – 7, Abraham – 6, Loftus-Cheek – 6, Zappacosta – 6, Kenedy – 6, Miazga – n/a
