Bruno Fernandes is delighted to have the fans back at Old Trafford but admits United’s performance vs Fulham was not enough. The Portuguese midfielder is now looking for a win when they face Wolves next on the last day of the Premier League this term.
In post-match interview, Fernandes said: “It was really good to have the fans back.
“We know how important it is to have them behind us. But our performance [vs Fulham] was not enough.
“We tried to give our best to give better to them. But it was a really nice feeling [to have my name sung] and to hear the songs. It makes everyone happy to have this kind of chance.
The 26-year-old midfielder continued: “Next week is a different game.
“The most important thing is to focus on Wolves. We know they defend well and have quality in the team. We just have to go there and win the game and then think about the final.”
Fulham equalized United’s 1-0 lead in the second half to cancel Edinson Cavani’s opening goal.
Bruno Fernandes, on the other hand, worked hard off the ball but was unlucky in front of the goal, despite attempting numerous shots.
