Reece James is relishing life under new manager Thomas Tuchel, with the young defender one of the most used players since Tuchel arrived earlier this year.
In his chat with talkSports, Reece James revealed: “When I was young I wasn’t always a right back.
“I was a striker. But I’ve always looked up to Frank Lampard because he played for the club I supported, Ashley Cole similar.
“So I’ve always supported the boys who played for the team I supported.
“[With Cole], we speak nearly every week. He’s probably one of the best left-backs to play the game.
“Even though he was a left-back the position is basically the same, just on the opposite side. He helps me a lot progressing.”
James has matured quickly in Thomas Tuchel’s side which in turn has earned him a place in England squad for Euro 2020.
The recently concluded campaign saw James play 47 games for Chelsea with 5 assists to his name and one Premier League goal.
