Declan Rice Names Top 5 Midfielders In The Premier League Right Now, Snubs His Best Pal

Declan Rice has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League as he is having another amazing season with West Ham.

Asked to name his top 5 midfielders in England, the West Ham player named Mateo Kovacic, Paul Pogba, Rodri, Bernardo Silva, and Yves Bissouma.

On Kovacic, Rice said (via BT Sports): “He is incredible. You don’t really realize how good he is until you play against him.”

Surprisingly, he excluded N’Golo Kante and best friend Mason Mount from the list. While Mount’s exclusion can be justified, it’s hard to see the reasoning behind someone like Bissouma or Pogba finishing over Kante in any such list.
