Former Manchester United star, Rio Ferdinand has backed the Red Devils to make it into the top four in the Premier League table this season.
He also believes Manchester City will retain the league title this season.
Ferdinand believes Manchester United will steadily improve under new interim manager, Ralf Rangnick.
“I’ve gone with my heart,” Ferdinand told BT Sport of his top four picks.
“Man United in the last four games, maybe their performances can be questioned at times but it’s a new person in charge, trying to implement his tactics etc.”
“I think the run of games they’ve got will put them in a good place.”
Ferdinand believes the top three would be City, Liverpool, and then Chelsea.
“I think Liverpool would be my tip to rival Man City,” he said.
“They [City] are my favorites.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United lost to Wolves on Monday night to further question their chances of making it to a top-four finish this season in the Premier League.
