Chelsea have agreed on personal terms with Jules Kounde ‘since weeks’, as per the reliable transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.
Should he arrive, the center-back will sign a contract with the Blues until 2026 – the salary hasn’t been revealed yet, though.
However, Chelsea and Sevilla have still not worked out a final transfer fee and are in negotiations to reach an agreement.
Fabrizio adds that Jules Kounde ‘will be respectful’ with Sevilla if a transfer fee cannot be agreed – he is not forcing his move.
Moreover, the ‘key’ for this deal to proceed is Kurt Zouma‘s sale. Currently, he is in talks with West Ham over personal terms.
Chelsea reportedly considers Kounde a ‘priority’ and are ready to sell Zouma – there is no issue with an agreement between the Hammers and Chelsea.
While Tottenham Hotspurs are not in the race to sign the center-back.
