Roma’s Manager Hails Cristiano Ronaldo After A Wonder Goal Against His Team

Roma’s manager Paulo Fonseca couldn’t help but hail sensational Cristiano Ronaldo for his well-taken goal against his Roma side on Saturday. Imagine what it feels like when an opponent’s manager praises your goal that made his team lose against your side. That’s exactly what Fonseca did after Ronaldo nailed his team.

Currently, Juventus have surpassed the Giallorossi at the Serie A table and now occupy third place just five points behind current leaders Inter Milan. Despite his team losing to the Juve side, Roma’s manager Paulo Fonseca gave the well-deserved credit to the player who opened the scoring against his team.

According to the Portuguese manager, it is performances like this that prove Ronaldo’s value to the world of football.

“This is why Ronaldo is the best in the world because he can score goals like that out of nowhere. We didn’t make a mistake on that goal: it’s just Ronaldo,” said Fonseca.

Roma’s Manager Paulo Fonseca Believes His Side Were The Better Team

Fonseca felt that his team had been somewhat unlucky for the result they ended up with. In fact, the Portuguese manager noticed that Roma led all the match’s statistics and that they forced Juventus to defend near the box. But in the end, his team’s poor finishing cost them at least a point from the fixture.

“We got into their final third so many times, but the final ball was always wrong. We had so many half-chances and made mistakes.

“There are no moral victories in football, but I am proud of the players, they showed great courage and character here and that gives me faith for the future.”

Ronaldo now has 16 goals in Serie A this season!
