peaking to MUTV, Cristiano Ronaldo said: “I’m here to make history and put Manchester United where they deserve to be. We have good memories but this is a new time, new generation and I’m here to win again.
“So glad, so happy to be back — I never thought I would be back again, but I’m so proud, I’m so excited and I’m looking forward to starting in the best way. I’m happy, my family is happy, my kids… everybody is happy.
“People speak about the age [36 years old] but they should know I’m different. I am different. I’m different than the rest of the people. I show [that] off all the time year by year and this year will be the same.”
Following his first training session at Carrington, Ronaldo has sent a message to Manchester United fans. The 36-year-old forward wrote on Instagram: “New challenge, but always with the same goals! Let’s go Man United!”
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is set to make his second debut against Newcastle on Saturday and the forward will be looking to score his first goal for the Red Devils since 2009.
