Cristiano Ronaldo was forced to train separately from the rest of the Manchester United first-team squad on Wednesday.
The 37-year-old missed the Manchester City clash at the weekend and it remains to be seen whether he will recover in time for the Tottenham game on Saturday.
The Portuguese forward posted pictures of himself working at the Carrington training center and wrote: “Hard work towards a strong recovery. Eager to get back on the pitch and help the team.”
It was a clear message to those who believed last week’s rumors about a rift between Ronaldo and Ralf Rangnick. Some outlets claimed that Cristiano refused to be in the squad after the German refused to start him vs Man City.
