When asked about Cristiano Ronaldo possibly making his second debut against Newcastle this Saturday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told reporters: “He’s been good.
“He can speak for himself but he seems happy to be back as well. The mood’s been very good, working well and we’re looking forward to Saturday.
“He’s been having a good pre-season with Juventus, he’s played for the national team, he’s had a good week with us here. He’ll definitely be on the pitch at some point, that’s for sure.”
After being released early from the Portuguese squad, the 36-year-old has been training with the club and will be involved on Saturday. The Manchester United boss, however, didn’t clarify if Ronaldo will start the game.
United beat Wolves 1-0 before the international break and will be looking to add three more points to their tally over the weekend.
