After the news broke that Manchester United have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the talented winger, Jadon Sancho has ‘asked to wear’ the iconic No. 7 shirt at Manchester United as per The Guardian.
Meanwhile, Edinson Cavani currently wears the No.7 shirt but interestingly, it would’ve been Sancho’s if he had joined the Red Devils last summer.
However, in search of a natural striker, United signed the 34-year-old instead and gave it to him – now, it will be interesting to see who wears it.
Although there is the option to give Cavani No.9 while Sancho gets No.7 but that would leave Anthony Martial without a proper number. Unless the Frenchman is either leaving Manchester United temporarily or permanently this summer.
The Guardian adds that no decision has been made so far, so we await to see what would happen in the coming days when United would announce Sancho’s signing.
