EPL Legend Allan Shearer Names 5 Chelsea Players That Will Help Tuchel Win The League

Newcastle United legend, Alan Shearer has named five Chelsea stars Thomas Tuchel can rely on in a bid to win the English top-flight league title this season following their Premier League 3-0 win against Leicester City over the weekend.

Shearer believes Tuchel can rely on N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, and his three center-halves, Antonio Rudiger, Thiago Silva, and Trevor Chalobah.

The former striker also reserved special praise for Kante and Jorginho and believes the pair will play a pivotal role in helping Tuchel’s side to lift their first Premier League trophy in over four years.

Kante and Jorginho completely outshined Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi and Boubakary Soumare in central midfield as goals from Antonio Rudiger, Kante, and Christian Pulisic gave Chelsea all three points against the host at the King Power Stadium.

Speaking on Match of the Day, Shearer believes Kante and Jorginho deserve special praise for their display in the middle of the park for Chelsea against Leicester.

He said: “They have got three very good center-halves they can rely on and two midfielders in Jorginho and Kante who they can rely on when the strikers go forward.

“Some of the times, the fullbacks were playing in midfield. And what you see with Jorginho and Kante is that Kante is ten yards ahead of Jorginho just in case he needs to win the ball and press again. Some of the play from Chelsea was absolutely superb.”

The win over Leicester means Chelsea are on top of the Premier League table with 29 points from 12 games.

Chelsea’s next game is against Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday before they will host United, who just sacked their manager on weekend.
