Ralph Hasenhuttl spoke about Chelsea loanee Armando Broja ahead of his side’s game against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Saints boss suggested that it would be better for Armando’s development if he spent another year at Southampton.
“It’s been a very important first season for him. At this moment it’s not easy to negotiate with Chelsea.
“It’s not surprising that I want him to stay here another year. I know this would be good for him.”

Broja has been one of the breakout stars in the League this year and has been Southampton’s most dangerous attacker.
Ralph does have a point though. With Chelsea’s numerous options upfront, Broja would probably not get a lot of game time if he returns to Chelsea next season, regardless of his current form.
An additional year of consistent Premier League appearances would definitely mould him into a better-finished product.
