Team News For Chelsea vs Tottenham EPL Clash – Predicted Line-Ups, Injury Updates & More
Yet another date with our dear local rivals awaits as Chelsea are set to face Spurs tomorrow evening in the Premier League.
Antonio Conte’s side were beaten in both legs of the Carabao Cup by Chelsea but they are unbeaten in the league and are threatening to overtake the Blues if they win their games in hand.
It’s a big game for both clubs – let’s take a look at the team news and who Thomas Tuchel might start in this game:
Chelsea team news
Trevoh Chalobah is back in training and wing-back Kenedy is also available for selection after returning to the club from his loan spell. However, there’s no news yet on whether either of them can start.
Edouard Mendy is still unavailable as he is representing Senegal in the African Cup of Nations. Reece James and Ben Chilwell are long-term absentees.
There are no new injury concerns from the squad that drew against Brighton a few days ago.

Son Heung-Min is still out with an injury and this game will come too soon for him. Cristian Romero and Eric Dier are still sidelined – this is a positive for Chelsea as these three are very important to Spurs.
Sergio Reguilon is back from his injury and Spurs’ game against Arsenal was postponed which has given them time to refresh and prepare for this clash.
Predicted Chelsea Starting XI
Given Tuchel’s talks about possibly changing the formation and his experimentations with the attacking three, it’s hard to predict a perfect team. Nevertheless, here is our attempt at the same:

This is the same team that started and won at Spurs just 9 days ago, with the exception of Andreas Christensen. While Callum Hudson-Odoi has not been playing very well recently, he and Sarr combined well in that game and troubled the Spur’s defense.
Thiago Silva is a no-brainer with Rudiger in the back four. Werner and Lukaku’s chemistry was top-notch in that Spurs win and Tuchel will be hoping they can recreate that performance.
