The Blues have announced that the fans will be able to see the Champions League trophy on August 4 before the friendly against Tottenham Hotspur.
As a result, Chelsea expects a near-full capacity at Stamford Bridge that day and confirms that the trophy will be paraded in front of the crowd.
“At the match at Stamford Bridge, the Champions League trophy will be paraded for the first time since the glorious night in Porto back in May,” a statement on the club’s official website read.
Of course, this would be not just a cause for celebration but also a gentle reminder to Tottenham (and other London clubs) that Chelsea remain the only club from the capital of the United Kingdom that have won the main European club trophy, not just once but on two occasions.
Congratulations to all the Blues family!
