Recently, the Premier League named the first 2 inductees into their newly launched Premier League Hall of Fame, a platform to celebrate the best players in the history of this storied competition.
The first two names to be inducted were Arsenal legend Thierry Henry and EPL’s top goalscorer, Alan Shearer. A Further 23 more players have been nominated for induction, with 4 of them being former Chelsea players.
Namely John Terry, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, and Didier Drogba, all have been nominated for entry into this prestigious list.
Meanwhile, all four of these players have won multiple Premier League titles, with Terry being a former PFA Player of the Year and Lampard being the best goalscoring midfielder of this era.
However, Petr Cech is not amongst the nominees’ because you have to be retired as a player to be nominated and Cech is part of our squad this season – making former Manchester United player Peter Schmeichel the only goalkeeper on the list.
