The Strikers At Romelu Lukaku’s Level Have Been Revealed!
Inter Milan’s striker Romelu Lukaku has been in superb form this season, with a former Inter star convinced only two strikers are at his level this moment.
According to former Inter Milan forward Ivan Zamorano, only Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland are the strikers left at the same level as Romelu Lukaku in world football today.
The 27-year-old Belgian is arguably enjoying the best campaign of his career so far, having managed 18 goals and six assists in only 25 Serie A games this season. To be precise, Lukaku has the most goal involvements in the Italian league this season and thus, has helped Inter to move top of the Serie A standings.
“Lukaku really is a top player now,” Ivan Zamorano has told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“If we are talking about purely center-forwards, only Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland are at his level.”

Moreover, it’s not only Lukaku who has impressed at San Siro this season, though. Strike partners Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez have both shown promise alongside the former Manchester United forward, as they helped Inter score a joint-best record of 63 goals in the league this season.
“Alexis Sanchez has finally reached his peak form, physically and mentally,” he continued.
“If he’s in good shape, there is no stopping him. It’s a pity he is only an alternative and not the first choice, but then he is up against Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku.”
“I struggle to see another team in Europe with three such formidable strikers. Not even Barcelona, Real Madrid, or Juventus can match Inter.”
“As a former forward, I’d love to see all three play together, but it depends on the game and the opponent.”
Romelu Lukaku’s tally in Serie A this season stands at 18 goals and six assists in 25 league games as compared to Robert Lewandowski’s 32 goals and six assists in 24 league games. While Erling Haaland has 19 goals and four assists in 20 league games.
Martinez and Sanchez have a combined goal contribution of 27 for Inter Milan this season {13 goals and 4 assists & 5 goals and 5 assists] respectively.
