According to Catalan outlet El Nacional; has revealed the position of Chelsea in the bid to sign French striker Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer in the coming summer.
The report claims that the Chelsea boss has shown much concern in the 22-year-old and has doubts as to whether or not his former player would cooperate with his new tactics.
In view of that, the Blues are no longer willing to submit a ‘great offer’ for the Paris Saint Germain forward.
Tuchel worked closely with the Frenchman for two and a half years but stressed the difficulty in coaching Mbappe and Neymar in accordance with his philosophies as a modern coach who operates a meticulously organized pressing system.
While speaking in an interview Tuchel warned Chelsea about signing Mbappe, insisting that he and Neymar lack cooperation on the training field.
“Sometimes it’s very easy, sometimes it’s a big challenge,” Tuchel said. “At a club like PSG, there are many influences. That’s why it can be very challenging to keep all the guys happy.”
Also, he added in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport: “It’s easier to coach Lukaku than Neymar or Mbappe. At Chelsea, I work much more calmly.”
