Thomas Tuchel Names Chelsea Players who Will Miss Leicester City Clash

Ahead of this weekend game, Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel, has confirmed that two top players will miss his side’s Premier League clash against Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

Following Tuchel’s report, Chelsea star Mateo Kovacic and Romelu Lukaku will miss the Leicester game at the King Power Stadium.

Also, the German boss provided the latest updates on Thiago Silva, Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount.

Chelsea will head to the game following a 1-1 draw with Burnley in their last Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.

“I can tell you that Mateo and Romelu are still out for tomorrow. Romelu is close to team training, so hopefully will join the squad on Sunday, he is pushing hard to come back ASAP,” Tuchel said at his pre-match press conference on Friday.

“Mateo, it will take other days until he is ready and will miss more matches.”

Tuchel added, “Timo in team training since yesterday, we will see as we have another training in two hours. Maybe he can make the squad or the bench.

“Pulisic feels fine. Thiago will be training, he did not play [for Brazil], but he has some travel in his body and time difference. I am confident. Mason is back in training.”

The kick-off time for the Leicester City vs Chelsea match is 1:30 pm.
