Thomas Tuchel Sent Serious Warning Over Benching Timo Werner
Timo Werner has been wasteful in front of the goal this season since joining Chelsea after an impressive season with RB Leipzig. However, former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has advised Tuchel to handle Werner with care, regardless, while commending the striker’s zeal to help Chelsea.
Speaking on what might happen if Tuchel decides to bench Timo, Werner, Frank Leboeuf said to ESPN FC: “I’m afraid you [might] lose him for the rest of the season. He looked so done in Madrid, not scoring goals.”
“He keeps doing very interesting things; the assist that he gave, keeping the ball and winning a free-kick at the edge of the box in the Fulham win.”

Meanwhile, the former Blue defender expects Thomas Tuchel to start Timo Werner in the Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid.
Although the Blues have depended on their strong defense to get them over the line in many games this season as goals seem to come in trickles for Chelsea.
Timo Werner on his part has only managed just 11 goals in 46 games for Chelsea this season while adding further 10 assists.
