Toni Kroos Names The World’s Best Player – Gives An Honest Opinion On The GOAT

The ‘Greatest Player’ debate has raged on for a while now, with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo both in the thick of it.

While fans, players, and pundits alike are split on the vote, Toni Kroos has now given his input as the latest to join the raging debate.

“From my playing days, it’s Cristiano Ronaldo (best player of all time),” Kroos told his brother on the Einfach mal luppen podcast.

“Of course I’m biased because he made a decisive contribution to us winning a lot of titles. It was exciting and impressive (to play alongside Ronaldo).

“We were not only team-mates but also neighbors in the dressing room and neighbors in private. He lived right next to me. Seeing what a perfectionist he is was impressive.

“That is why it is forbidden for me to name Messi (as the best player of all time).”

While his answer is unsurprising, it’s another addition to a debate that will likely never be unanimously settled in our lifetime.
