Top 10 Football’s Most Expensive Squads Revealed – PSG, City, United, Chelsea Rank High

It has been somewhat a weird summer, and the footballing world is still lost in nostalgic moments. Following the crazy summer transfer window, lots of clubs have beefed up their squad to the extent that teams like PSG are already touted as the favorites to win the European biggest competition – the UEFA Champions League.

However, the Ligue 1 giants are not even the most expensive squad in world football right now following the latest released by CIES Football Observatory.

According to the recent research by CIES Football Observatory, Manchester City have the most expensive squads in world football.

Pep Guardiola’s team cost a total of £926 million to assemble while Manchester United are second at £877 million, closing the gap to £49 million this season.

However, Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on the Red Devils, with the oil-rich Ligue 1 side spending an eye-watering total of £820 million to recruit some of the world’s best players.

The top 5 on the list are completed by Real Madrid and Chelsea whose squad cost £675 million and £669 million respectively.
