According to the recent research by CIES Football Observatory, Manchester City have the most expensive squads in world football.
Pep Guardiola’s team cost a total of £926 million to assemble while Manchester United are second at £877 million, closing the gap to £49 million this season.
However, Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on the Red Devils, with the oil-rich Ligue 1 side spending an eye-watering total of £820 million to recruit some of the world’s best players.
The top 5 on the list are completed by Real Madrid and Chelsea whose squad cost £675 million and £669 million respectively.
