Group F of the Euro 2020 championship has been dubbed the ‘Group of Death’, which includes Portugal, France, Germany, and Hungary.
As we checked the top 15 players in the group according to their market value, we found out that 2 out of the 6 Chelsea players in the group were up in the list.
The Blues have 3 players in both the French and German squads, including their Champions League matchwinner and Man of the Match, Kai Havertz and N’Golo Kante respectively.
2 Chelsea players make the top 15 of all the players ranked by market value (all numbers taken from transfermarkt.com).
Kai Havertz and Timo Werner are the 9th and 12th most valuable players respectively, both valued upwards of €65m.
Meanwhile, although surprising, N’Golo Kante just misses out on the top 15, with his age likely diminishing his market value to €55m.
While the other three players in the ‘Group of Death’ are Kurt Zouma, Toni Rudiger, and Olivier Giroud, all of whom will also have their part to play in the success of their teams.
