Top-4 Race Reignited? See The Permutations Following Liverpool’s Win Over Man United

After beating Manchester United at Old Trafford for the first time since 2014, Jurgen Klopp’s team look to be back in the top-4 race.

At the moment, the Reds are four points behind Chelsea and six points behind Leicester City.

However, you can see from the standings above that Liverpool still have a game in hand over the sides they are chasing, that is; Chelsea and Leicester City.

Thus, Liverpool can easily leapfrog at least one of these two teams to finish in the top-4 places.

Moreover, the schedule is much more favorable for Jurgen Klopp’s side. The Merseyside club only have West Brom, Burnley, and Crystal Palace to end their current campaign.

On the other hand, Chelsea and Leicester face each other (with at least one of them guaranteed to drop points).

Meanwhile, for the season’s closure, Leicester will take on Tottenham, while Chelsea will finish up by visiting Aston Villa. A much more difficult scenario for the top-4 race this season!
