On July 1, back in the summer of 2003, Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich bought Chelsea and since then, the rest have become history!
Since Roman took over, the Blues have consistently been one of the best teams in England and Europe as we have won trophy after trophy almost every season.
Interestingly, Chelsea added to their tally of big trophies by winning the Champions League in 2020-21 – their 2nd win in the competition’s history.
In the celebration of 18 years Roman Abramovich’s era, here is a breakdown of all of our major titles won during this time and how we rank across English and European teams during the Roman Era:
Premier League – 5 times, joint-most winners of the league alongside Manchester City and Manchester United.
Champions League – 2 times, only Real Madrid and Barcelona have won more titles since 2003.
FA Cup – 5 times, tied with Arsenal for the most FA Cup wins.
Europa League – 2 times, most wins for an English club.
Hopefully, there are a lot more trophies to come in the coming seasons as the Blues build a dominant force under new manager Thomas Tuchel!
