Chelsea’s Tuchel Confirms Another Injury Setback For The Blues’ Star
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed another injury setback for The Blues’ star following a shocking home defeat to West Brom in the Premier League.
Tuchel reveals Christiano Pulisic has suffered another hamstring issue in Chelsea’s 5-2 defeat to West Brom on Saturday.
The Blues’ star, who scored the opening goal at Stamford Bridge, experienced pain in his hamstring during a warm-up at half-time. Thus, Tuchel played it safe by replacing him with Mason Mount.
Meanwhile, it’s the fourth injury, and the second one with his hamstring, that Pulisic has suffered this season. The American has also spent time on the sideline with muscle and calf problems.

“Christian did a sprint when he came back out for the second half and said that he felt his hamstring would not survive the game if he continued,” Tuchel said as quoted on Chelsea’s Fifth Stand App.
“So we had to make the decision to substitute him right away.”
Christian Pulisic, who recently ended a 20-game goal drought during the international break, has suffered eight injuries since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in 2019.
By substituting the forward during the break, Tuchel will hope it’s only a minor setback, especially with a first-leg clash with Porto coming up in the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday.
