“Chalobah is still out, Kovacic is obviously out. Kante is out for tomorrow and Ben Chilwell,” Thomas Tuchel told a press conference ahead of the Leeds game, as quoted by Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella.
“Jorginho did the last two training sessions and he will do what he did in the last games and play through pain and do what’s needed to be on the pitch.”
The Blues have an injury crisis in midfield, with Kante and Kovacic out for some time.
Tuchel’s willingness to involve Jorginho who is not fully fit either shows that he’s growing a bit desperate as the crisis has coincided with the team’s mini-slump.
Chelsea has conceded in 3 consecutive league games this season, something that has not been common since the Thomas Tuchel era. The West London club will be looking to turn things around in the coming weeks, to maintain their title charge.
