Manchester United board has explained why they have not found a replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer amid his failing results at Old Trafford.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers is reportedly considered by the United board as a potential replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
But ex-Liverpool player Steve McManaman believes the Northern Irishman would not accept a United offer if it ever arrives.
“I can’t see Brendan going there,” McManaman told HorseRacing.net.
“I think he’s got the credentials, yes, but I think his history with Liverpool would be too much for everybody.
“But Ole knows Man United and it looks as if the club are going to stick with him, certainly for the foreseeable future.”
Rodgers managed Liverpool between 2012 and 2015, coming close to winning a league title in 2014.
