Manchester United have made an offer for Varane worth €55m, a proposal which has ‘convinced’ Real Madrid, Radio Marca report. The Frenchman is ‘a step away’ from becoming a United player, it’s said.
Raphael Varane has refused to extend his contract with Los Blancos, especially considering the poor offer they had made.
As for the club, they have decided to put him on the market since Florentino Perez doesn’t want to lose Raphael Varane for free. The center-back’s current contract expires in 2022.
Meanwhile, previous reports claimed that the Red Devils had nearly agreed to personal terms with Varane. Taking this into account, the transfer could be made official in the near future.
In the 2020-21 season, the 28-year-old played 41 matches for Madrid and scored two goals.
