The Red Devils are looking to sign a center-back this summer and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has placed Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane high on his shortlist of defensive targets.
Now according to Jose Alvarez of El Chiringuito, a solid Spanish source, Raphael Varane’s transfer to Manchester United is ‘advanced’.
The Frenchman’s contract at the Santiago Bernabeu expires next summer and Real Madrid is currently assuming that there will be no new deal.
Raphael Varane, 27, is reportedly looking to leave the Spanish giants after growing frustrated with the differences in wages between him and the best-paid players at the club.
On the other hand, it has been suggested that Manchester United will prioritize signing a new center-back in the summer window as they continue searching for a permanent partner for Harry Maguire.
